The Space Shuttle Enterprise was taken from JFK to New Jersey at the weekend and this morning it was loaded onto a barge and taken on a trip up the Hudson towards the USS Intrepid at pier 86 (46th street) where it will stay as part of their space museum exhibit. I went down to the river to take a couple of pictures. Was only there five minutes but pretty cool.
It was followed by the giant crane (capable of lifting 500 tonnes) that will load it onto the deck.
Then I headed back to Brooklyn to get my final injection at a health clinic so my paperwork should be good to go once we get back from Portland. Leaving in 5 hours!
