I didn't sign up to the Spring soccer league, mainly as we will be away in Hawaii for the 2nd half of the season and also as I have a couple of races the days after the games and I don't want to be aching from the night before. Of course, I stepped in to help out the team a couple of Fridays ago and this is what happened.
It was actually just superficial and the main damage was somehow my rib muscle which I didn't notice at the time but two weeks later am just getting rid of the pain.
Due to Heather's schedule and the fact I've worked around 16 out of the last 18 whole weekends we have taken to going out into the city on whatever my random day off has been during the week.
The Spring weather has been pretty nice. Perfect for walking about, sunny and not too hot before it turns nasty in Summer. This was the globe in front of the Trump Tower near Columbus Circle.
We toured around the Upper West side area and on the way back past The Lincoln Centre area it was a mix of tourists taking pictures and locals dressed up for a night at the opera.
Then on our way home we stopped off at Rockefeller Plaza where there was another installation worthy of a few snaps.
All the while carrying bags of groceries from Wholefoods and starving and achy feet from walking all day. New York baby!
